🏆 DDL MATCHDAY PREVIEW | THURSDAY 8 OCTOBER

Three matches could decide the DDL’s inaugural league champion.

🎯 ANGUS vs CHALKEY

Angus sits on 42 points, with Chalkey on 39.

An Angus win would take him level with Duncan on 45. A Chalkey win would move both players to 42, with Chalkey holding the better highest checkout: 31 to Angus’s eight.

Chalkey is also coming off a nine-dart leg and a 140 visit against Adam, so Angus will need to be sharp in this single-leg contest.

🔥 JON G vs DUANE

This is a must-win for Duane.

He has 49 points and four games left. Winning all four would take him to 61—level with Gary’s current total.

If Jon G wins, Duane’s maximum drops to 58. Duncan can reach 60, meaning Gary would be crowned champion on 61 before even playing Matt.

Jon G is also coming off a win over Matt. Another victory could end Duane’s title challenge completely.

🏆 GARY vs MATT

If Duane wins, he moves to 52 points, with a maximum of 61.

Gary would then know that beating Matt takes him to 64—and guarantees the championship.

Win the leg, win the title.

But Matt has already shown he can cause an upset, beating Scott in a recorded 15-dart leg. Gary’s latest win was a 12-darter against Stewart, finished with a 56 checkout.

⏳ WHAT IF DUANE WINS AND MATT BEATS GARY?

The race would continue, but Duane’s route would be extremely difficult.

He would need to beat Duncan, Scott and Gary in his remaining matches, while Gary would need to lose to John L and Duane.

Even then, both could finish on 61, meaning the highest-checkout tiebreak would decide it. Gary currently leads that battle 56–2.

📋 TOMORROW’S TITLE SCENARIOS

• Jon G beats Duane: Gary is champion before playing Matt.

• Duane beats Jon G, then Gary beats Matt: Gary wins the title on 64 points.

• Duane beats Jon G, then Matt beats Gary: the title race continues.

A recorded draw in either key match would also be enough to settle the title for Gary.

Three games. One huge morning. Could the DDL crown its first champion?
